All this talk of a Marcos/Ford USA connection in the early 70s brings to mind a conversation I had regarding the use of Mustang V8s in the latest Mantis models. The person I was talking to (and now I can't recall who it was, but someone related either to the factory or a dealer) made the comment that buying Mustang engines and running gear opened up the possibility of selling the cars in the US and, specifically, through Ford dealerships (much as Saleen do). Wouldn't that have been something!
