Hi Larry
I will take more pictures and measurements for you today, it works on a very basic system of a
spring loaded section which can be adjusted by the bolt as seen in the picture this stops the
glass from dropping or pushing glass up by creating neutral balance of weight allowing you to just
push the glass up or down by hand the pressure is transferred down the pivoted flat steel bar
that runs freely in the horizontal channel at the bottom.

Rob

Thank, Rob,

I have never seen one of these and would like to try to fabricate one for Greg.

Would it be possible to take pictures with the window at different levels? I need to know how it lifts and lowers; what parts move and in which direction.

Thanks for your reply.

Greg is in need of the right hand side glass. Do you have any pictures of the lift mechanism so I can see if it is something I might be able to fabricate for Greg?

I came to this thread late. Are you needing a template for window? If so I have a set from my 69 I can trace for you.

Ah, Larry I wish I knew the answer. Frankly, I'm so frustrated that the otherwise fantastic car has begun to loose its attraction for me. It's been about 5 years in progress, and there is light at the end of the tunnel, but I'm almost ready to throw in the towel. It's a late '68 and totally stock. The restorer lost the glass on the right side, and the window lift mechanisms for both sides. Guessing the window shape won't change, but I don't know which shape to tell you. I do have the original frames. But have yet to figure out how they mount. I'll try the early corvette lift mechanisms. Again, thanks for your help. Greg
