 Funny you mention Dennis Gage and Idaho.  He was at the 2013 Virginia Fall Classic Car Show in Newport News, VA., filming for his TV program.  I walked up to him at one of the cars he was filming and mentioned that I had a Marcos....He immediately said that he hadn't seem one since being in Idaho.  He continued his day and finally made it around to my car.  I got a few photos with him.  It was pretty cool.

Dennis did an interview  on a Marcos in Alaska several years back on his Classic car TV show.

Got a good story for you on the old one, I took it to a National British Car Meet a couple years back in Hot Springs and Dennis Gage from My Classic Car was the mc for the show. I was riding down in the elevator with him and he and I started talking about show and cars. He brought up he was super excited as he had heard of a Marcos in the show. I did not say a word as I wanted him to see it first but he went on and said that a Marcos was what got him interested in cars years ago when he was in college. He said he went to a school in Idaho and some guy had one at the time, again I said nothing.

Later down on the show floor he was making his way around and came to the Marcos. He was shocked to see me with it and said it looked just like the one from the college days so I then told him it was one and the same. He about fell over! He asked if he could sit in it and of course we had a great time talking about it. He filled me his card and told me to let him know if I ever wish to sell it. Small world.

I’m glad to hear that my old Marcos is still in good hands.  My “new” one is a 1991 Mantula Spyder.  It is being shipped and will arrive in a couple of weeks.

Are there any other people planning on bringing their Marcos to the Portland, OR ABFM on Sept 7 - 9? I see from some old information there might be 20 or more cars in California and 1 other one in Washington besides mine (which isn't scheduled to arrive until Aug 12.  It would be nice if I were not the only one.
