Great boat. Brings back a lot of good memories.The Marcos looks fantastic. Wish you could make it to Macon, Ga. for the show in October.

My Marcos which I’ve owned since 1976 is one of the eleven with a TR6 (European spec power) it is the only on in the US., a few years ago an owner is Switzerland tracked all eleven cars down.  Car still buts a smile on my face when the RPMs are up and we are going around a corner!2.      The other one is my Ketch out of the H2O on the hard, getting her bottom done.If you make it out to Northern CA, please stop by and we can go for a sail!Thanks for help keep several Marcos on the road!!Stephen

I was a sailor and owner of a sail boat until the hole in the water got to be more than wanted to fill (dock fee, insurance, bottom jobs etc.). I have been making molds off my car for a few Marcos owners over the years.

LarryWith new materials (the types of glass and resins, both polyester & epoxy) one can/could build any of the Marcos body parts which would be stronger and lighter than original.  I’m a sailor and boat builder (as a hobby, so I work with all the new stuff), but this is time consuming and just the materials can get expensive.  So it would take a special person to save this car. An E-type in the same condition would still command a much higher price even though  Marcos is better looking,  cost about the same when new, has about the same performance (depending on engine),  and is much more rare. RobinThree years ago I had some glass work #5916, (the other gays insurance company was paying) so I took the car to a first rate shop in the Bay Area.  They did great work but is was very expensive!  To fix this car correctly is going to cost a lot of $$$.
