Larry With new materials (the types of glass and resins, both polyester & epoxy) one can/could build any of the Marcos body parts which would be stronger and lighter than original. I’m a sailor and boat builder (as a hobby, so I work with all the new stuff), but this is time consuming and just the materials can get expensive. So it would take a special person to save this car. Given other Marcos cars one could buy, but I hope someone takes the project on! Well… it is good to see that the price of Marcos cars is increasing. I hope the guy gets what he is asking. An E-type in the same condition would still command a much higher price even though Marcos is better looking, cost about the same when new, has about the same performance (depending on engine), and is much more rare. Robin Three years ago I had some glass work #5916, (the other gays insurance company was paying) so I took the car to a first rate shop in the Bay Area. They did great work but is was very expensive! To fix this car correctly is going to cost a lot of $$$. The car looks like a standard Volvo powered car imported, so a complete restoration would have the owner upside down big time (my two cents). Hello: I emailed the guy and he pretty convinced it's worth every penny. Oh buy the way no glass, no bumpers, lots of trim missing but the engine can be turned The smashed hood and cracked hood, something about being hit a forklift when they were lifting it? Wash it, new battery, new gas and you could drive to California...... I started the renovation of my Mini Marcos Gt. I hope to have it up and running by the end of the summer. Ok October is the real goal..... Oh unless a run away forklift hits in.......
