The chassis number on my 1969 car is 3/5436. If your car is 1969 the 3/5349 number looks correct.
So I am not sure what 1275 is as it would be much earlier.
Maybe Rory McMath at Marcos Heritage would know.

Thanks then that explains the number stamped in the aluminum. Mine is 1275 so
that does not match the vin number then? which is 3/5349.
If this is true then they followed or invented the same path as Collin Chapman.
