RE: [MarcosManiacs] Re: Nose in the air... snobbish car???

2001-11-26 by pauldransfield@iname.com

Hi guys,

I managed to dig out one of the Koni boxes over the weekend and found the
following code number stamped on it, implying that it's the part number for
the shocks (2 to a box) inside:- 80R - 2365
I'm pretty sure that the front and rear shocks for the Marcos were the same
but I didn't come across the other box to confirm that. I didn't have time
to do a thorough search through all my parts boxes, so I'll take another
look next weekend if I have time.

Regards,

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the info!
Do those guys have a website?
Were the springs pretty much direct replacements, or did they require any
mods to fit?
How about the shocks?

You are correct on the spring rates.......I actually just
purchased aluminum adjustable coil -over shocks and 2.5" dia.
springs from summit racing in Ohio, they are "Hal" brand (good
quality). The cost usd. was $620.The shocks have about 3.5" of
adjustment. The part #'s if anybody is interested are.........
     HAL-12-170 REAR SPRING
     HAL-12-250 FRONT SPRING
     HAL-ALN5855P-1 ALUMINUM ADJUSTABLE COIL-OVER SHOCKS
