Yes - you are both right. It's only the circlip that holds the darn thing. I didn't manage to remove it at all while in the car, but since I was going to take the engine and 'box out anyway I left it there. And when I got it out, I tried to use a press and i tried a big hammer. But I was also afraid of cracking the clutch housing. In the end I had to drill it out and smash it... You can be assured that I used a lot of copper paste when installing the new one that I had to buy. But there is one thing I didn't try that you should: Heat. Using some sort of blow torch or similar may shift it in the end. Good luck from Norway
