Hi all, sorry I didn't respond sooner. Changing jobs - long story. Anyway, the pre-73 V6 cars had a CORTINA Mk2 GT axle (or ocassionally as Salisbury diff one). Many of the post-80s cars had a Capri axle which, as someone else mentioned, should be shortened to fit within the standard V6 coupe shell (that's why Mantulas have slightly flared rear arches), but often people skimped and the wheels will sit slightly proud of the rear arches when viewed in plan. The problem is that even some early cars have been retrofitted with Capri axles, as they are easier to find. Bottom line really is that you'll need to find out what the axle in YOUR car is NOW. Somewhere they'll be a part number which you can match against Ford UK catalogues. On the issue of bump steer and handling kits, I've no experience of these although they sound good and I know a number of people have devised their own bump-steer solutions. Cheers, Mark
