Don, Hello to all, sorry for the long time in lurking stages. Long story that can be told latter. I recently moved to SW Virginia, had surgury, semi-retired, etc... I still have the Marcos which is so close to completion I can almost imagine driveing it again. As for the Sprite, yep still have it also, have owned it and aboty 20 other Sprites since 1973. I raced the Sprite in H-Production in the '70s and have since converted to RHD and a 5 speed trans. My modified street engines are 1275's set up to about 95 hp. As best I can tell the Sprite handles better than the Marcos and does not require the finess needed in the Marcos. The Marcos is definetly a smoother ride. Both cars have been laid up for well over a year with delays in Marcos completion driven by my recent health issues. I hope this is a trend that the Marcos group gets interested in Sprites as they are one of the most fun cars to drive - they also upset owners of much faster and powerful cars at the track because of the handleing.
