Hi Don- Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I suspect we have twin cars. Peter, the owner of the car which I prepare, had the misfortune of falling asleep at the wheel of the tow vehicle while travelling to the new Gosfoth Park raceway here in South Africa.(2400Km round trip) Fortunately they escaped without injury and the new hitch I had just fitted took the pain and bent rather than tossing the Marcos. We survived with just superficial bodywork damage to the Marcos but R17000 damage to the tow vehicle. More superficial damage was inflicted at the races and we have had a clutch collapse. (pressure plate drive links) but other than that all is well. By the way it is possible to remove a 5-speed Sierra gearbox without removing the motor. Just remove the drive-shaft/ bellhousing bolts/gearbox mtg. and shift the gearbox backwards. Then separate the gearbox from the bellhousing and remove the bits. New uprated clutch fitted and looking forward to the next races. Cheers JV --- In MarcosManiacs@yahoogroups.com, "Don Lattimer" <donlattimer@p...> wrote: > Yep, it happened.
