Don, Yes you need to trim down the inside of the tunnel basically parallel to a frame member running there. Maybe 1.5" inckes by 10" by 8-10" is what I recall removing. The header mates to the engine fine and seems to line up to the current exhaust after shortening it some to make up for the extra header length. Dan Orie may have more information.
