I
don't WORRY about my Mantis being stolen. I figure that the clutch/manual
transmission will eliminate about 80% of the potential thieves anyway. But
I do park at the far end of parking lots, diagonally across 2 spaces if I think
I'm not going to deprive other cars of a parking space - this in an attempt to
defeat the park-by-ear door-flinging brigade. I lock the doors, mainly
because if I leave it open, I find that people will actually open the door and
try out the driver's seat!

I don't even lock my Marcos in parking lots. In fact I don't lock my Bentley
or my Jag either. I has to do with your willingness to let things go if need
be.
