Well, I got to do it.....  Seems that the gearbox refuses to repair 
itself, so I must remove it.

So....I need some expert advice.

1. Can the gearbox on a V6 steel frame be removed without removing 
the engine (i.e. lowered from the car)?

2.  If it can, is it easier to remove engine/gearbox as a unit 
instead?

3.  Can the engine/gearbox be removed as a single unit or do they 
need to be separated?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks!
