I think that's generally true, but always believed the Mantula named was used because it ended the same way as Taran-tula (an eight legged thing) and the model was the first 8 cylinder Marcos? Mantara, I've no idea on. Mantaray was I guess just a variation on Mantara to distinguish the shape and Mantis, of course, is a much used Marcos name. Cheers.
