You are absolutely correct.  I did install a glass rear window in my 69.  It 
was a nightmare.  The glass was ordered from England.  I was unable to find 
anyone who would install it locally so I tried it with a little help from my 
friends.  The glass didn't fit well so we had to do some fiberglass buildup 
to fill in the gaps.  Even after careful measurements and alot of fiberglass 
work, installing the glass was very difficult.  It went OK installing the 
rubber seal, but when we put the spreader in to tighten the glass the lower 
left corner of the glass cracked.  Too much thumb pressure I quess.  It is 
not very noticable from a distance so I just left it alone.    

The polycarbonate glass would be alot more forgiving.  I have to ask if there 
are different sizes for different models or years?
