Hi Don, I hope this info will help you. The colour codes of the wires that you mention going to the two dash switches if they conform to vehicle wiring standards should be as follows :- RED RED/WHITE This switch should be the feed switch for the instrument panel lights, the red wire being the switch feed from the main master lighting switch and should only be live when the lights are on. The red/white wire should branch off from this switch to supply the instrument bulbs. BLUE/WHITE BLUE/YELLOW My car does not have a switch with these colour codes but they would normally be used for long range driving lamps with the blue/yellow wire running from the switch to supply the lamps and I assume that the blue/white wire would be the switch feed from the main beam circuit and would only be live when the main beam lights are on. -- Lee Brinkley #5097 1600 GT lbrinkley@...
