I used to have a G4 400 Gigabit and my G5 Dual 1.8 is about 8 times more capable in the real world. Xbench is a poor indicator of actual performance.

Okay, I can see how that might raise your blood pressure a bit. > Hey Kamm, you're a good programmer. Good idea, then I can tell all my friends that *I* have the fastest computer. :) Kamm

Benchmarks aside, how is Logic doing for you on your new G5? I truly hope that things are going better now. I know you've been a bit peeved with Logic on our old Mac. By-the-way, I just ordered a Motu 828mkII and am hoping it will cure a few audio problems I'm having. It appears to be the perfect replacement for my Mackie 1202 VLZ. Once Tiger comes out and Logic owners confirm that Logic runs okay on Tiger, I'll be buying a new Mac. It is still up in the air as to whether that will be a G5 iMac or Dual CPU Power Mac. Kamm

I'm dying to know how it all works together. > Hey does anyone know how to change the 'default song' for > logic when you open it? I believe that if you create a song named "AutoLoad" and put it in the ~/Library/Application Support/Logic/Song Templates (from memory, could be slightly off) Directory that it will become the default song when Logic starts up. At least that works for my system. Kamm
