Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

Quick question.  Is the rewire support greatly improved in 7.2 relative 
to 7.1? (which is what I have now).

I'm a long time user of Logic from the old Emagic days Now that i have
gotten used to the new workflow etc, with apples ways of doing things,
i am finding that since i installed my logic 7.2 upgrade my old song
sessions are playing distorted. Has anyone had this problem and if so,
how do i fix it other than re installing the old version of Logic 7.1
which i had to go back to in order to finish my projects.

Hey Chico. One thing you might check. Some plugins have changed(a  
little) in logic 7.2 so settings may have been lost. Also some third  
party plugs don't work with it so might have been removed from the  
session. I have found that I need to make sure I have the latest  
driver for my audio interface when ever I upgrade my OS or Logic.  
Sometimes I need to reinstall the audio interface driver again as it  
has gotten corrupted somehow during the upgrade. It is possible that  
you needed to upgrade your OS for 7.2. You should be using OS 10.4.    
I am now on 10.4.7 and using Logic 7.2.3  Here is the biggie that  
many miss during the upgrade process. You need to get the pro app  
support update from apple. On the apple website somewhere. Good luck.  
I have a few Junior Vasquez vinyl's laying around here. somewhere.

For me 7.2 has been a total disaster. So many bugs and crashes it's unreal. I reinstalled 
everything 3 times, syetem up, and have had the same problems. Many of the bugs I have 
have been reported by others on the LUG. I think it is a problem with preIntel machines. I 
have a dual1.8 PCi machine and it has been pure hell. I went back to 7.1 yesterday and 
haven't had a crash since. Fingers crossed.

    I get a similar sound, but I'm still in Logic 7.1.   It only happens occasionally, and a re-
start of the software seems to fix it.

     Are you using an MBox 1 by chance?

     I work in a computer lab and we've been having problems with some of the updates to 
the Digidesign/Avid drivers that make Garage Band (also an Apple title) distort, not work 
...   and that doesn't get fixed by a restart.
