Recording resources - how to microtune and tuning codes

Your "students" will prolly find this page and links + downloads from it useful, when they start to explore beyond twelve note equal temperament.

Subject: Masters of Recording Arts Student seeks resources

Hello all,

I am doing some research trying to compile a list (annotated bibliography) of resources
that would help a home recordist. I am listing books, magazines, journals, websites,
..whatever kinds of available resources I can point people to.

I intend also to make a "home recording hub" website to share some of my findings.

I was wanting to ask my friends in the Logic Cafe (who I believe to be the enlightenned
DAW users) if they had any top picks for books, websites, etc.

Can you explain exactly what contexts you use other tonalities? I have Toby Twinning's true pitched vocal CD which is very interesting to listen to. Are you or others using subtle non-equal temprement scales in pop or folk songs, or is this more of classical atonal or "ethnic" (arabic, chinese, etc) music? If you modulate during the middle of a song, then do you change tunings so that the pitches in that key are corrected?

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
