dB vs Num values (127) in Volume automation?

2010-03-27 by Dr. David W. Saslove

Greetings to All:

I have been using Logic for many years, and in previous versions (i.e. pre-Logic 9), one could choose between dB & Num in order to change the values used in making automation volume adjustments. This choice was available in the inspector. The dB/Num pull-down option was just under the choice of MIDI channel in an audio track or virtual/plug-in instrument. This option seems to have been dropped in Logic 9, and only dB values can be used in volume automation.

Personally, I often prefer using the Num values.

Am I missing something? Does anyone know of a work-around?

Thanks,
drdave
