Well especially the "generic" things (like general dialogs etc) have changed 
in 7, which is usually the last thing to change in a new version.

Certainly. :o) And I'm not saying it's a good excuse for the current state of 
Logic, but it is a recognisable chain of events that does look like something 
good will come out of it. Eventually. :o)
