Re: [Logic_Cafe] Vocal effects

2007-02-17 by Joel Falconer

I was learning Reason when I made that song. I know, best not to
publish your tutorials :P The harpsichord is actually a steel-string
acoustic, so that tells me something about the quality of Reason's
built in samples. These "Tunebacks" as we call them aren't really
representative of the band's sound. They are more experimental.
Thanks for the advice--I will look at what I can do with the
instruments to make it more fitting.

I tried Express' built in phaser and flanger, but I think it was more
the settings I couldn't get right, which I'm also learning. I spent
the last six months learning how to pump out a song. Now I'm learning
how to get the finer details right. I'll keep playing with the phaser
and flanger.

The songs I was thinking of are (and these are the only two I've
actually listened to, so I thought it was his signature voice) "If I
Could Fall In Love" and another one with a similar effect, which I
never knew the name of.
