Janek Tanks for your help on the constrained dragging issue... So again I looked in preferences, and hey presto it appeared to me... So I am happy and can constrain away with shift when need be Thank you Janek audiOh! If you hold down Shift on a Mac then that allows you to move the object anywhere freely, but it very annoying to have to press an extra button to move things around.... There is a preference to constrain movement in the arrange and matrix windows. Its one of the preferences or song settings. You can move up/down, the let go, then left/right. Unfortunately, I find it necessary to leave that preference on, because if I move a region down, it sometimes migrates a little left/right and the position gets screwed up. So its safer to keep it constrained. I often find my regions starting at 1 1 1 2 or worse for some reason.
