Direct Transfer

2004-12-11 by l_moline

I wonder how many have used the clear direct transfer sheets for
making PC Boards? Im talking about the ones you copy to and then iron
on the resist to transfer to pc board. I have tried and works good
but they arent cheap and are a waste if you dont have enough boards
to put on to fill a sheet. Also if so where is the best price for
these sheets?

Hi

If you print your pcb layout on a normal sheet of paper first, you
can then just cut a suitable sized piece from your special paper
,then place it over the pcb picture and hold in place with suitable
tape. The run the printout again and you should have your circuit
printed in the correct place on the special paper, using the
minimum of the paper.

Alan,

I guess if you just dont cut out the piece you use to transfer the
resist you can re-use the sheet but if you cut it out then that clear
sheet cant be run through a copier again.
