Give it time to load. They show normal sheets of paper that dissolve when hit with water. They are asking for uses for the paper. I figure Steve could represent the group and get some samples. There is also contact info. I think this is what you guys are looking for. Just don't flush the paper down the sink. This looks like a slightly better deal and *should* be easier to obtain. My local Jo-Anns didn't have it but I got free blank stares from the clerks when I asked so it wasn't a wasted trip... Worth a try as you can see clearly on the picture of the product a mention of working in copiers. They also have a product called RinsAway paper that disolves but it looked very uneven and probably would not print well. I'll try their super-store that's a bit farther away next. http://www.joann.com/catalog.jhtml;$sessionid$IQTUE4YAAGPXKP4SY5LRIHR50LD3UEPO?CATID=82283&PRODID=74030 I noticed that the RinsAway stuff is 100% PVA which makes me wonder if that might work for coating paper with out wrinkling. Phil,
The stuff seems to be very common on the Internet. It's a shame
the email address on that other place is bad. I though I had it for
sure that time. I used to have a SoFro near by. I used several of
their products for something other then sewing. As sewing died out I
lost the SoFro.

If it stands up to copiers it should be able to handle ironing OK. If this stuff really dissolves that quickly, and doesn't hinder the etching process much, you might be able to dump the board into the etch with the paper still on.

I'm trying; I'm CCing it to the list. If nothing else, there's an office 45 minutes from me in Seattle. Steve,
The spy paper also looks good. Can you phone the company that
is bouncing the Emails?

That Mitsui.com link bounced for postmaster@, webmaster@, and sales@, but so far the original email address has not bounced back. I found that quilters Dissolve Away Foundation Paper online for $4.04 for 12 sheets: <http://www.createforless.com/search/searchResults.asp?SearchAction=Restart&SearchHistory=2%2C33%7C1%2C%2D1%7C5%2C97%7C9%2C8104&pType=craft+supplies> Steve Greenfield

It hasn't bounced yet, but if I don't get a reply in a day I'll call them. Interested in the online store that carries the water soluble paper for only $4.04 for 12 sheets. That works out to about 30 cents per sheet, say 35 cents after adding in shipping. Steve Greenfield --- In Homebrew_PCBs@yahoogroups.com, "crankorgan" <john@k...> wrote:

In my mind there are actually two major advantages: 1. no paper residue stuck between fine traces, and 2. no risk of pulling off small traces. It would also be much much faster. As I said before, possibly allowing us to drop everything into the etch straight from the iron. Printer to tank in one minute.

AND i'm of the curious sort - much to curious to let a board be etched without checking the artwork. Imagine that - last time i accidentally transferred the component legend to the copper side and the copper artwork to the top! All in one go has it's drawbacks... I'm merely curious about the dissolving paper, for me removing the paper isn't really an issue. ST

Works out to just shy of 50 cents a sheet. Steve Greenfield
