Dear Cristian,

About the freight charge, because I use DHL to send it.different
price,you will get different sevice.
As you know,DHL is international express company, use it to send goods.
They can guarantee goods safety and accurate time to send goods to customer.
Therefore, the price is high, not too high. if I select cheap

In order to you can reduce spend more money for starting,I offer free
2pcs samples to you for testing.
But,I have to receiving freight charge, and of course I will use very
cheapest to send it to you.
The freight charge is USD15 and I can't guarantee goods safely and
accurate time to delivery goods to you.
and it will not the tracking no to you and the delivery time is about
15days to 20days.

If you agree above item, please transfer money to me via Western Union

I will be interested to hear how the transaction works out. I see several piezo cermaic elements they offer that I would be interested in for more than just a homebrew inkjet.

The request to use western union concerns me a bit. I wonder if the seller would consider using paypal or even doing the transaction over ebay.

Feel free to contact him directly, mentioning my name as the way to
his address.
Cristian

They usually ask for TT (too expensive for me) and ships using
DHL,UPS and another not so cheap forwarders.
The piezo costs around $5.
I can not afford to pay $50 for TT and another $40 UPS.
So, I've asked him to find a cheaper way.

This is just for the piezo unit, yes?

Have you sourced the etched Si nozzle? I am sure the nozzle could be made at home, no prob. The Glass-Si bond might be tricky.

Or are you using the Stanford device inkjet as a bassis for your own design?

Good work! Keep us in the loop as to your experience with the Chinese vendor.

Homemade Inkjet head (piezo available)

2010-07-08 by Cristian

|This is just for the piezo unit, yes?
Only for the piezo, two pieces.

|Have you sourced the etched Si nozzle?
Not yet
|I am sure the nozzle could be made at home, no prob.
I'll try with flame narrowing the pipette's end.

  |The Glass-Si bond might be tricky.

|Or are you using the Stanford device inkjet as a bassis for your own design?
Yes. The idea is to fill the pipette with Staedler ink and, when
pulse energized, the piezo will constrict
(I hope it will do that, it was hard to communicate technically with
the Chinese vendor) and the pressure will go up and down in the pipette.
Up is the resistance of the weight of the ink column and down is a
hole, so it will spit little ink out.
If not, $15 is not a fortune.

Good work! Keep us in the loop as to your experience with the Chinese vendor.

Joseph
