I've used it for years without any problems.

I just used chipquik tonight to remove a SMD chip - it actually worked pretty good, and using desoldering wick removed all the solder from the IC pins and allowed it to be easly reinstalled to a diffrent board.

I was sorta leary about the stuff, but they sent me a sample and it seems to work.

Steve

Does the CHIP QUIK\ufffd work with lead based solder and does it work with
through hole components ?

It was originally developed for use with lead-based solder.

I don't think it will work very well with through-hole parts.
