Doing TT with normal paper

Doing TT with normal paper

2006-06-27 by Kamal Shankar

Had a lot of spare time this week, and I tried doing
some TT using normal paper (my stock of gelatin paper
had finished and doing 8/8 using mags never worked for
me..)

I knew what was gonna happen, but made a note that the
failure was onl due to the paper sticking more to the
toner than the copper.

That got me thinking - anyone tried to remove the
paper pulp using some chemical like bleaching powder
or something?

I am thinking, maybe some chemical which dissolves
cellulose but does not attack the toner or copper...

Anyone thought of, or tried this before ?

If doing this becomes feasable, then maybe I can
forget the stares I get buying end-of-month Playboys
and Maxims ;)

Hi,
im new to this group and im from Australia.
I used Epson photo paper, and to separate the paper from the toner i
would soak it in warm water with some dish washing liquid for a few
minutes, then it would separate quite easily.

From another one from OZ (where we don't have Staples). Can you be a bit more specific about the version or product number for the Epson photo paper?

I dont know the exact number because that was a while ago but what i
do now is take the file or a larger print and get officeworks to do
my print.
use their glossy photopaper, the thinnest one
and get them to set the darkness to about 70%

i usually bring a print which is 200% bigger and get them to shrink
by 50% so it becomes sharper and they charge too much to open files.

I dont make them often, but hope it helps

Hmmm... not much interest in doing TT with normal
paper I see... people seem to like inkjet glossy paper
very much ;)

Actually, TT can also be done using Acetone ! But that
requires artictic skills...

Anyways, have anyone tried Cellulase enzymes on normal
paper ? It works like a charm !

But there's a slight non-tehcnical disadvantage...
