Eagle Software Users

2003-04-14 by Dell Gillispie

Hi:

I am attempting to make a couple boards using Eagle software and Press-N-Peel.

The smallest paper that I can feed my printer is 3" X 5". Even at that size I could print at least two/three drawings per sheet of Press-N-Peel.

Is it possible to get the software multiple copies of the drawing per sheet of paper?

Yes, there's a panelize ULP that you can run to do this.

Dell,
You can make multiple copies of your drawing, paste them on a single paper
and use a photocopier to transferee to PNP blue.
I just saw today is a new program that has been released. I have not tried
it but have read that it make a panel out of a single Gerber file. Its
called Viewmate they do want a lot of info to download it.

Also PC logic already has this ability in the latest release. Plus it has
the ability to put all the different layers on one sheet.

Hi Don,

I use Eagle and Press -N- Peel. I first print out the output of Eagle on a standard sheet of paper. I then cut a piece of Press-N- Peel slightly larger than the output and tape it lightly over the output on the paper and feed it back through the printer. Works great and no waste of Print-N- Peel.

Hope that this works for you - Jack

Thanks: Ned, Derek, and John. I think one solution would be to group the whole drawing and then copy and paste it. Can't get the "Group" command to work. Must be doing something wrong. Any thoughts?

Just open the board file, as this won't back-annotate. If the
schematic opens, close it. Now you can turn on all layers, group all,
cut/go, paste.

Dell,
Many people have problem with that.. :-) Here's how
1) Drag a group over the item/items
2) Select CUT
3) RIGHT Click somewhere in the group

The items are now in the paste buffer.
You can paste as many copies as you need.

Ned and Hans:

Thanks. I think this solves the problem. I don't mind making several copies. This seems to work.
