http://www.dtgdigital.com/dtg_graphics.php Water based inkjet ink, says it can print onto uncoated surfaces including metal and plastic. There are other varieties of this ink. All must be heat cured. Wouldn't it be ironic if it is the same or essentially the same ink? Steve Greenfield

Hello Steve,
As you know I am the lead broker/dealer for DTG Digital. Our UNI inks can be printed to many uncoated surfaces including metal, plastic, wood, acyrlic, leathers, and many other surfaces. Will be available here in the U.S. at the end of May.
I will do my studies into the ink your talking about.
I also sell the San Wave International printers.... www.swi-usa.com where are LipChip thermal inks "applied under different heat conditions" depending on the surface are also available as a direct to product printing without any pre-coatings.

Does that mean that you -are- willing to sell in smaller quantities and for other printers? You had previously indicated that you would not, and I understand why. I don't think most here will be looking to buy your flatbed printers, excellent as they are. Most are going to be more interested in hacking their own printers to fit a 1/16" PCB. We are currently only working with the new DTG Digital UNI inks in our DTG printers. It's about learning the ink application with our technology.
I will also be making samples for customers who are looking to purchase the printers. The samples process will begin in June.
For hacking their own printers, possibly they could test our "LipChip HOT" thermal inks at www.swi-usa.com These inks can be applied directly onto a heated surface, and have great adhesion. Based on the Epson 1290 model and the inks run $280.00 a liter. Would also be willing to work with volume users on samplings and test.
