I think it took about an hour to mount mine to a board, attach the motor, and put the temp. control together. You don't need a power supply, the lamp works with mains voltage. You need however a low DC voltage to power the temperature control circuit, i use a small wall-wart. If you have a printer it is probably wise to get the fuser control electronics, i just used a solid state relais i had.
