An Idea just ran through my head, but.... As inkjet printing wont hold up to the etch etc, and it comes off, cant that be used to an advantage? ie print what you /want/ etched off on an inkjet onto the copper, then spray with a resist agent, IE cheap car paint, then wash and hopefully the areas that where inkjet printed will wash away leaving copper to be etched? (stop laughing at the back....)
