Delrin, a tradmarked version of acetal is a really decent plastic.
It can take much higher temperatures than ABS
is easy to machime
is fairly chemical resistant
is easy to get a hold of in rod tube bar and sheet
the biggest problem is that it is a little difficult to bond with adhesives
