Yes but where is the origin of the word, surely the origin of the word should dictate how its pronounced, thats how it works when other countries tend to adopt words, i'm sure 'computer' is universal, even in china, where the word was not invented.. So by that merit, if the art of soldering was invented where its pronounced as soddering, then soddering it is, if it originates from another country or time that pronounces the 'L', then some dictionary has got it wrong....
