Michael Taylor: I think every wire maker has its own name for this material. In the case of Amidon, Inc., I definitely know that it is not "Formvar". Formvar is a very, very tough coating that is not easy to remove. As mentioned previously, I always seem to have a bunch of the kind of magnet wire with the easy, heat-disintregrating coating, mostly from old inductors and transformers. Roland F.
