You're only seeing things from a designer perspective. For $1,150.00 you get 15"X14" travel, Kerk precision acme screws, Delrin nuts with wear compensation and 4 linear ball bearings on each axis. Knowing what you're losing when you pay less and vice versa is the fundamental basis of an informed purchasing decision IMO.
