Get the software - it was intended for G-code but
HPGL is convertable if there isn't native support.

There is a HAL (hardware abstraction layer) in
EMC2 that lets you control any electronics realy.

Electrical schematic is depenadant on your motors.

If you don't have the motors aleady then there are
some decisions to make before you go much further.

What kind of mill do you have and what are you
planing on doing with it ?
