I got most of the mechanicals out of the way now and decided to put it back together where I can to check to see if it will work still. I got everything wired back up and power it up. It seems to do fine for a while - you hear it doing it's usual cleaning - the main feeder shaft seems to rotate the right direction etc. However, when it finishes that up, The "Paper" LED blinks and both inks show as being empty. I don't have this printer connected to a computer at the moment so that could be partially the problem - not sure either way. There is one thing I have to remove and this too could be the problem. The paper feeder has an opto sensor on it to detect the position of a shaft (the one that holds the cams to feed the paper in). This sensor is NOT the paper "leading edge" sensor. I have tried to manual rotate that shaft so the sensor can "see" through the hole and so that it is blocked - same errors either way. Anyone have any suggestions - I am all ears . Thanks Chris
