I do agree.

I don't mind it at all if sb. outbids me. What i HATE is if i either  
forgot an auction, or the software messed up, or.. and have to see it did  
go for a bargain to someone else. Especially if it is a once every 5 years  
item like yesterday.......
That makes me slightly mad and interested in strangling the people  
maintaining the ebay servers with the bloody LAN cable they must have  
pulled to spite me.

By the way - unlikely things sometimes happen. I sell very little at ebay,  
maybe 3 things a year. The last one went to a guy in another country with  
the same postcode as me ;-) That's a 1 in 99999 chance! I should play the  
lottery after all.

It just takes some common sense and you won't have bad deals at ebay, or  
at least only a tiny percentage. True, some sellers are a pain to deal  
with, but if you are on good terms with the major delivery services it  
helps a lot.
