Hello everyone- I am planning on parting out my spare Fairlight IIx. It is pretty much a complete unit with a bad Processor Control Card Q133. Please email me privately and let me know what you need and the price you have in mind. Well....let me put it this way :If the card looks anything like my card did, forget it. It was impossible to desolder components. Legs and tracks desintegrated just by touching them with a screwdriver. Some would not come of the card no matter how much heat. It was impossible.Remove your batteries !!!WT----- Original Message -----From: Gordon JC PearceSent: Thursday, January 19, 2012 12:19 AMSubject: Re: [Fairlight-CMI] Parting out spare Fairlight IIx *revisedOn 18/01/12 22:34, Clayton wrote:

I do multilayer through-hole and SMD rework pretty much every day at work, and have the tools to do it at home too. I wonder what a complete non-runner IIx is worth? Not that it will be anywhere within sane shipping distance of me, but a man can dream... -- Gordonjcp MM0YEQ
