Well....let me put it this way :
If the card looks anything like my card did, forget it. It was impossible to desolder components. Legs and tracks desintegrated just by touching them with a screwdriver. Some would not come of the card no matter how much heat. It was impossible.
Remove your batteries !!!

How hard would it be to repair the card?

Is there much in the way of service information out there? They can't
be *that* complicated, surely?
