I just posted some pictures of the new boards.

I had 20 boards made, and assembled the first one yesterday. It works, whew! :-)

The parts order is arriving next week, so there were a few parts I had to make do without. The 8-pin DIP part is the video sync separator, but on the shipping units it will be a surface-mounted part (there's an SMT footprint under the DIP footprint). I don't have the USB power control IC, so I just hard-wired it on for testing.

I also tried the board with an old Apple USB mouse (in one of the pics), and it works great. Since it's a single-button mouse, you can't turn the cursor off, but that's not really a big deal.

The technician is lined up to assemble the remaining 19 boards at the end of next week. I'll be getting the front panels lined up in parallel with that, as well as packaging/shipping materials.

I've gotten a few responses re: the VDU cable -- if you want one, please do let me know so I can be sure to have the needed parts ordered to make them.

Hi Joe,

I would need a ready-made VDU cable, too.
Thanks

Josef
