5-pin XLR VDU cables

Hello All, There does seem to be interest in ready-made 5-pin XLR cables for the mouse/lightpen interface, so I've been looking into the costs for building them. It's a custom cable, so they aren't an off-the-shelf item. They aren't too hard to make -- if you've made audio/video/computer cables before, you could probably make your own. I used a cable with 3 mini coax cables, very similar to what is in my original Fairlight VDU cable, to make mine. Most such coax cables have an outer diameter > 0.4", which is too big for the boot on the XLR connectors (typically has a max diameter of .31"). I've found some cable from Covid with an outer diameter of .26" (CVD 3300) which works well. If you want one of these cables, I can offer them for $50 with the interface. I think they will be about 1m (3 feet) long, maybe a little longer. If you're just planning to use the RCA output with a modern monitor, you don't need it. For that you'll just need a composite video cable (RCA male/male). If you would like one of these cables, please let me know so I can plan for buying connectors and cable. Thanks, Joe
