Haven´t tried it but through the Sync-connector on the breakoutbox you
should get DIN-sync.

Tried to use it a few months ago with no luck but I can try again if you´d
like me too ?

the sync plug is the same as din sync? that sounds way too easy. is it a pulse output that comes out the sync jack? i could hack up a midi cable and try it but i want to see if that's what's actually coming out the fairlight.

The clock connector is Dinsync.

The Sync ( on the midibox ) connector is actually 4 different outputs with a
common ground, fed from the syncinput through 6840 timers to divide the
incoming clock.

Read the servicemanual for more info.

Move to quarantaine
