The clock connector is Dinsync.
The Sync ( on the midibox ) connector is actually 4 different outputs with a
common ground, fed from the syncinput through 6840 timers to divide the
incoming clock.
Read the servicemanual for more info.

the sync plug is the same as din sync? that sounds way too easy. is it a
pulse output that comes out the sync jack? i could hack up a midi cable and
try it but i want to see if that's what's actually coming out the fairlight.
