thanks for your suggestions !

I'll check the cards, glad I have replacement Midi cards. How could I
check the surface and integrity of the harddrive ? It is the original one
(probably not a scsi). If this is an MFM drive, what are the odds of
succesfully hooking it up to an old PC and making a backup with Ghost or
similar ?
The machine runs software 6.03.

Hi Harald.

Check the cards first, as they are by far the more likely cause. If 
you still have no joy, re-post me and I'll talk you through software 
and hard discs.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
