Fairlight-CMI

Yeah I keep going back and forth on the cmi. I am hoping it would be 
good at creating a textural sound with some meat to it. All other synths 
have a sheen to them. But I feel the cmi has a depth and grit to the 
sound that makes me interested, but im not sure Im into the price right 
now. Could I just fake it with something cheaper is what Im thinking
