Fairlight-CMI

OK : so Ive now got video working, but every time I boot my CMI, I get different memory configurations reported, and different number of CMI 31 cards detected.

I am assuming there is something in the system casuing a problem on the backplane ? 

Is there some sort of minimum config I can bring the system up under to identify the card(s) casung the issues ? 

Can a series III boot with just a one memory board, one CMI-31 channel and no sampler card, and no midi board etc ? 

If I have just one CMI31 card, should it be in the leftmost slot, or the rightmost slot ?
