Motu - Volta. Might be a solution, generates clock to PPQ.

Hi Billy !

Thanks for the answer.

The IIx unfortunately doesn´t sync to Midi.

The manuals that I have for the General Interface card doesn´t go into
detail about how to sync the IIx.

What I like to do is feed clocks ( 384 ppq as I can decipher from various
sources ) into the CMI IIx.

But should I connect it to the Midi box Sync input with a cable from the
Midi box clock out to the CMI sync input or

should I only connect to the Midi Box or

should I only connect to the CMI Sync input.

That´s the question.

Hmmm.....

Maybe I should solder some adapters.

In the past - we would record a track of sync tone and then feed it back to
the Fairlight (IIx) to sync the Fairlight to tape. I never ttried synching
with midi though i would assume this can be done on the IIx. I sync with
SMPTE now on a series III.
good luck.
