You are correct. I should have specified that the model I am dealing with 
is an early Mk1 and has 12cm floppy drives.
If I remember correctly each floppy disc has a storage capacity of 600 Kb.

Very probably. I worked at Argents from its inception in July 1978 until 
May 1979.
Its sounds as though I should know you, but my memories from that time are 
a little blurred.
